Keith Don spent his life creating a technology that would liquify soils to reduce the cost of traditional excavation and would revolutionize the construction and mining industries. His obsession consumed the family resources and was one of the reasons his son Jason left home. Keith's pain and hurt spiraled into rage.

He learned that Jason took a job with a construction company and decided to unleash his technology on the project. The result was a powerful landslide of mud and slime. Unintentionally, he buried his own son in the slide. Keith was caught up in the landslide too. Rescue crews unearthed Keith from the mud and debris in a pile of green slime near his ruined technology.

Over time, Keith began manifesting strange attributes: his skin began to almost melt into thick sludge, he grew lanky and tall, and he had a hard time breathing. He is now in a permanent state of liquified roiling soil. His pain and grief are the only thing that motivates him to continue causing erosion and sedimentation wherever he goes!
