Sergeant Stormwater, with his super strength and leadership skills, has hired the Super Sampler as his Intelligence Officer to identify and prevent pollutant threats generated by the villains known collectively as The Degraders.

Through his business of polymer development, Chito-man, Chief Technology Officer, has funded the team and developed new technologies to address growing threats.

Vax is one of Chito-Man's most impressive creations and is the Stormwater Defenders' first responder, providing reconnaissance for the team.

Spectro and TARP joined the team because of their ongoing battle with The Eroder and

Tox-Ick. Collectively they make up the Stormwater Defenders.

The Degraders are an organized group of environmental bad actors with selfish ambitions to pollute the waters of the world.

They degrade resources to enact revenge on the Stormwater Defenders, and to motivate citizens to care less about planet Earth. In some instances, The Baron organizes their efforts to create large pollution events that require all of the Stormwater Defenders' powers to overcome.
